What your ticket includes
- 45kg (2 x 20kg with 5kg carry on) luggage per passenger. That is two suitcases or lockable carry bags, up to 20kg each, in the underfloor luggage compartment
- One small handbag or carry bag under 5kg, which comes on board with you and goes in the overhead compartment
Label every bag with your name, address and contact number. The drivers will help you load.
Extra and oversized items
- Extra bag, $20 per piece. Maximum 20kg each. Must be labelled with your full name, address and phone number
- Bicycle, $30. Standard bicycle, no superstructure, maximum 25kg. Night services or daytime Sydney services only, subject to space
- Surfboards, skis, musical instruments, boxed items. Charged as freight. Call 1300 730 740 before departure for the applicable charge. Hard cases recommended for instruments
- Strollers, wheelchairs, walking aids, free. Carried in the luggage area on the same service as you. Must be registered at least 36 hours before departure, and must be foldable and non-electric unless required inside the vehicle
Anything over the allowance or over normal luggage size is treated as freight and is not guaranteed to travel on your service. It may be held for the next available one.
Not permitted
E-bikes, e-scooters, e-skateboards and any other electric recreational vehicle cannot be carried, and neither can their lithium-ion batteries. They are a transport fire hazard. Hoverboards are not carried either.
Firefly does not accept liability for lost or damaged luggage. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Note: Firefly's luggage allowance is one of the most generous in Australian intercity bus travel, and it is included in the fare, not sold as an extra.
