Firefly does not sell food or drinks on board

There is no trolley, no onboard kiosk and no catering. Bring what you want to eat and drink.

What you can bring:

  • Snacks
  • Drinks, but only in a soft plastic bottle with a twist top, so it can be resealed

What you cannot bring:

  • Hot food
  • Hot drinks
  • Glass bottles
  • Alcohol

Those rules are about the comfort and safety of everyone on a full bus, not about upselling you something. There is nothing to upsell.

Meal breaks

Some journeys have scheduled meal break stops built into the timetable. They happen at roadhouses and service stations where you can buy food, use the facilities and stretch your legs.

  • FE31, Melbourne to Sydney, overnight: BP Nth Albury, then Yass
  • FE21, Sydney to Melbourne, overnight: Yass, then BP Nth Albury
  • FE70, Melbourne to Adelaide, daytime: Keith BP
  • FE80, Melbourne to Adelaide, overnight: Ampol Foodary Ararat, then Keith BP
  • FE71, Adelaide to Melbourne, daytime: Keith
  • FE81, Adelaide to Melbourne, overnight: Keith, then Ampol Foodary Ararat

Exact times for these stops are printed against each service on the timetables and schedules page.

Ask the driver how long the bus is waiting before you walk off. Break lengths vary by service and the bus runs to a timetable.

Beyond the scheduled breaks, Firefly does not add extra stops. The aim is to get you there efficiently, and the onboard toilet is what makes that possible on the long routes.

If you smoke, the scheduled break is your opportunity. It is not permitted on board, and neither is vaping.
