Separate from the service level, Firefly sells two fare types on Regular Service. Same bus and same journey. What changes is where you sit on it and how much you can change your mind.
Sale Fare
The cheapest way to travel, from $60 one way.
- Available online only, on a limited number of seats
- You will be seated toward the rear of the bus, where seats may have limited recline. That is the trade for the lower price and Firefly says so plainly
- Non-refundable and non-transferable. No changes, no cancellations
- Discount codes cannot be used on Sale Fares
Regular Fare
The flexible fare.
- You can request a seat preference after booking by calling 1300 730 740 with your booking number. Requests are not guaranteed, but a seat on the service always is
- Changes allowed more than 48 hours before departure. Free at 72 hours or more, $15 per person per sector between 48 and 72 hours. If you move to a higher-priced seat you pay the difference
- Partial refunds: 75% more than 72 hours out, 50% between 48 and 72 hours, or 100% as a travel credit or open ticket valid six months
